The Florentine designer, Roberto Cavalli, marked his 40th anniversary in fashion, with a rich hippie parade of furs, animal-print and voluminous boho-dresses in sheer chiffon. The singer, Courtney Love, and the actress, Lindsay Lohan, were among the front-row audience.

Leave it to Hollywood to lighten up even Swedish characters in a big-budget remake. The U.S. version will most likely allow Lisbeth a bit of eyeliner, but no disturbing tattoos. I'll stick with the original version.
