Would you ignore fashion advice from Anna Wintour?

If Anna Wintour were to pop into the Secret Sales office and impart some of her extensive fashion knowledge onto me then I don’t think I’d be ignoring it in a hurry.
The Vogue editor is largely regarded as one of the world’s most powerful fashion figures and even though I regard myself as something of a designer clothing expert, I’m pretty confident that if Anna offered me a word of advice I would snap it up at the drop of a hat.
But beautiful British actress Carey Mulligan is obviously so confident in her style knowledge that she has decided to ignore the advice that she has been given regarding her Oscars outfit.
She told People magazine: “Anna said I should wear short for the Oscars. I was like ‘No, that is so not what I had in my head when I was six years old!’”
While the young star – who is nominated for Best Actress at the prestigious upcoming awards ceremony – scored high in the style stakes for her floral, floor-length number that she fashioned at the Baftas on Sunday (February 21st), perhaps she will revert to her roots and choose Prada for the Oscars?
