Posh Spice calls up the lookalikes as she launches latest New York fashion show

FASHIONISTAS did a double take as Victoria Beckham unveiled her latest collection in New York.
The waif-like singer turned designer sent her models on to the catwalk wearing her trademark oversized sunglasses and dresses and hairdos straight out of her own back catalogue.
And the former Posh Spice, who famously lives on 800 calories a day, opted for models who could easily squeeze into her own size 0 wardrobe.
Victoria, 35, has recently ditched the fake tan and been spotted in flat shoes in a bid to tone down her over-the-top WAG image and be accepted by the fashion elite.
And her collection, shown at the Park Avenue mansion used as Carrie and Mr Big’s apartment in Sex & The City, appeared to be the latest step in achieving that dream.
Her pieces are inspired by early Hollywood and 1940s femme fatales and it seems most critics were impressed.
Style bible Elle.com said: “We loved it. Expect to see it littering the red carpet over the coming months.”
Posh’s range includes 400 “investments”, ranging in price from £850 to £4900 in sizes 6-14.
Hardly designed for real women then. But for Victoria Beckham wannabes with a few thousand in the bank the collection could be what they really, really want.
