We have our take on who made the most impressive style statements, but there can be little doubt that red carpet fashion at the Grammy Awards on Sunday lived up to expectations; it was a delight that spanned the sartorial spectrum: from demure through exotic to outlandish.
We believe American Sweethearts and Country crooners Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood stole the show with jaw dropping style statements that were as impressive as they were restrained.
Taylor Swift wore a blue form-fitting KaufmanFranco gown complete with updo, diamond teardrop danglers and diamond bangle at the wrist. The deep color of her dress set off her porcelain skin, while the silhouette revealed a perfect figure.
Carrie Underwood rocked a revealing Edition by Georges Chakra gown with silver leather straps, smoky eye colors, and hair worn softly curled around the face. She accessorized her gown with a pair of clear quartz Ippolita triple drop earrings, a crystal clutch bag by Swarovski and her famous thousand-watt smile.
If not its practicality, it’s easy to admire the originality and imagination that went into Lady Gaga’s celestial shock and awe from Armani Prive.
