Textile Museum hosts Harajuku street chic demo and fashion show

In conjunction with the exhibit “Contemporary Japanese Fashion: The Mary Baskett Collection,” the Textile Museum is hosting a show inspired by Tokyo’s Harajuku district, the city’s famed hub where youth and fashion intersect in trendsetting ways. It includes looks inspired by Victoriana, Japanese animation and punk rock. Local experts will give their insights on the topic, and there will be a tutorial on getting the look.
