LADY GAGA is to kick off a new comic book series focusing on the lives of pop culture icons.
American publisher Bluewater Productions announced the launch of the new series, to be called Fame.
The first issue, featuring the life story of the US singer, will be out in time for Free Comic Book Day on May 5.
Recently, pop culture artist Brian Einersen announced an entirely separate comic called Lady Saga, inspired by the pop diva and featuring fictional adventures in the world of fashion.
A NEW comic book has turned Lady Gaga into a superheroine.
Pop culture artist Brian Einersen has transformed the US pop singer into a comic book character called Lady Saga.
He told Undercover: “She will still use her powers of wit and style. However, like every good superhero, she is looking for a sidekick. Lady Godiva, Lady Bug and Lady Britney have expressed interest in the role. Stay tuned!”
Einersen came up with the idea in June and has just released the Lady Saga comic in the United States, where it is on sale exclusively at Marc Jacobs stores.
But he admits he is unsure if the 23-year-old singer – born Stefani Germanotta – approves of his work. “I don’t know. I hope she liked it,” he said.
On his website, he wrote: “I have been drawing fashion designs for many years and, on occasion, cartoon characters. This is how I thought of creating Lady Saga. This comic book character is artistic, in vogue and geared toward the world of fashion.”
