Big shoulder fashion is officially hot

Thought you had kissed the last of your wide-shouldered blazer collection ba-bye when you got around to that consignment store drop-off, like, 10 years ago?
The fashion ring can be a cruel place to box, glam girl.
And if those blazers didn’t sell then, they are most certainly gone now — because big just above the bicep is officially hot, hot, hot.
Fashion’s modern take on the borrowed-from-the-boys shoulder is equal parts Molly Ringwald-era 1980s and futuristic, Mad Max-magnifique.
Try test-driving your don’t-mess-with-me silhouette in the form of a blazer or jacket — or better yet, make like Gwyneth and throw on a sexy, putty-hued mini dress avec a giant puffed sleeve (one of my favourite frocks in recent memory, btw).
The broader the better, it seems, and sky’s the limit on ruching, pointy edges and overall volume (the more drama the better, right Rihanna?),
