Fashion-forward Rihanna and Michelle Obama are Glamour Magazine’s ‘Women of the Year’ – Pictures

Rihanna joined Michelle Obama and other fabulous women for Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year awards. Rihanna received the award for her public stand on domestic violence, following her experience at the hands of ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.
Lady O, for her part, received an award of special recognition for bringing the importance of mentoring to the forefront.

Other honorees included designer Stella McCartney, tennis champ Serena Williams, journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee, writer, educator and civil rights activist Maya Angelou and pediatrician Jane Aronson.
In addition to being honored, both Lady O and Rihanna each landed coveted cover girl spots on Glamour Magazine’s December issue. Lady O is the first First Lady to grace the cover of Glamour Magazine. She rocked her cover look in a red cocktail dress from her own closet, accessorizing with a golden bib necklace.
